Grow with Us

(1 Peter 3:15-16) But in your hearts revere Christ as Lord.  Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have.  But do this with gentleness and respect, keeping a clear conscience, so that those who speak maliciously against your good behavior in Christ may be ashamed of their slander.

Siouxland Christian School is unique in that as a Christian school, our student population does not fit the cookie-cutter stereotype people may envision. The Eagle student body is indeed diverse with regard to denominational backgrounds, biblical literacy, and spiritual maturity.

It is with this in mind that spiritual growth at Siouxland Christian is about much more than reciting the books of the Bible, memorizing verses, and giving the right answer. Our entire reason for existing is Jesus; meaning our primary goal with regard to spiritual growth is to help students realize and celebrate His presence and work in their own lives and the lives of those around them.

In providing a strong foundation (roots) through biblically integrated academic courses, formalized Bible classes, worship opportunities in chapel, an annual mission trip, and purposeful community service, it is Siouxland Christian’s intent to see students come to know and grow in Jesus. Of course, this happens in different ways, and in different timing. So, God’s grace is a vital component in encouraging and helping students to make their faith their own and to actively impact the environment around them for Jesus Christ. After all, character and integrity are not simply derived from knowing about Jesus, but having a personal relationship with Him.
